    Nintendo Switch Console

Question: Nintendo Switch Console – what is the resolution of nintendo switch? Is it 1080p?

Love how there are 3 different answers to this. :/

While docked, the unit can support resolutions up to 1080p and maximum frame rate of 60 frames per second, though the maximum resolution varies depending on the game. As an example, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild runs at a maximum 900p and 30 frames per second while the Switch is docked.

From nintendo’s Website “Up to 1080p via HDMI in TV mode Up to 720p via built-in screen in tabletop mode and handheld mode”

1280×720 but you can see it on the new TVs at 1080p!!

Depending on the software yes it is 1080p however docked it is 720P

This from Nintendo. Video output: Maximum resolution: 1920×1080, 60 fps.
Please note: output via HDMI cable in TV mode. In tabletop mode and handheld mode, the maximum resolution is 1280×720, which matches the screen resolution.

Some games may vary somewhat from this per the game developer.
