    Red Dead Redemption 2

    Rating: 5.0 – Flawless

    Good Game

I enjoyed the scenery and the missions. It really appealed to me as a player as I have always loved Rockstar Games and they did not disappoint me this time.

Open-world games need characters to feel lived-in, but these characters need to actually do things for these settings to feel real ¡ª even if it’s just for background flavor. Most games can get away with having non-playable characters that don’t do much beyond walk around or loop their animations, but Red Dead Redemption 2 is a game obsessed with details. Every character, no matter how small, appears to have a routine.

There aren’t many reasons to become acquainted with the day-to-day lives of unimportant NPCs, so these routines are easy to miss. But fortunately YouTuber DefendTheHouse went ahead and did it for you. In the video above, they pick a few different characters and follow them around for a whole day, ultimately finding that these NPCs lead surprisingly detailed lives.

My favorite has to be a man who stumbles his way out of a saloon every morning to go to work. He’s a lush, so after working a bit, he’ll take a drinking break and a lunch break, both of which consist wholly of alcohol. The fact that anyone trusts this man with nails and hammers is a wonder.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has racked up more global sales in its first eight days than its predecessor managed in eight years, according to the game’s maker.

Rockstar, which is also behind the Grand Theft Auto mega-franchise, said its latest game ¡°sold in¡± 17m copies of the American frontier game to retail outlets in its first 13 days on the market. The ¡°sold in¡± tally is the number of copies of the game to have been ordered and shipped to retailers, not the number bought by consumers.

However, few of the 17m copies are likely to be left on shelves. The game clocked up $725m (¡ê556m) in sales on its opening weekend, making it the second biggest launch of any entertainment product in history.

In less than two weeks the title, which has received outstanding reviews and numerous ¡°perfect¡± scores from games critics, has effectively outsold the estimated 15m lifetime sales of the original Red Dead Redemption, which was released in 2010.

Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 and Xbox One features a massive arsenal of weapons, from basic six-shooters and lever-action rifles to powerful shotguns and sniper rifles. In addition to the weapons you can buy from a gunsmith or pick up from run-of-the-mill fallen enemy, there are also many special weapons hidden in the world for you to find. Much like the side missions you come across, it’s very easy to permanently miss out on some of these weapons, especially if you don’t take the time to examine an area further or loot a dead bandit’s corpse.

After spending many hours roaming the wilderness and towns of Red Dead Redemption 2’s depiction of late-1800s America, we’ve amassed a large amount of melee weapons and firearms for Arthur to use when fighting against rival gang members and angry vagabonds. There’s a surprising amount of items to find, some of which break away from the Western setting and reference cultures that have since disappeared in the face of the new century. To avoid spoilers, we’ve omitted some mentions of weapons that you can acquire late in the game, though we plan to update this feature in the coming weeks. So for now, here’s an extensive list of weapons along with their locations.
